Had a fantastic chicken schnitzel with gravy and they played country music upon request. Couple this with the fantastic view and ice cold views and I feel like I’ve entered heaven. 10/5 stars. Incredible
I don't like giving low ratings but have to leave an honest review. The night we went, the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a seafood platter which is what I do when I'm on the coast. When the meal came out, it looked OK, nothing special but smelt a bit greasy. To be honest, I don't think the seafood was sourced locally because we'd had other seafood in the area and the quality was far superior to this. The calamari tasted a bit funny due to whatever they'd seasoned it in but the worst part was the oysters. After I'd eaten them, I noticed movement from them. On closer inspection, I saw that there were little worms that had come out from the barnacles attached to the underside of the oysters. I though it best to advise the lady at the bar so she could show the chef but she simply binned them and asked me if I wanted replacements! It put me off oysters for quite some time. Given my experience, I could never return there. This happened in 2021.

Highly recommend this hotel. The room was very clean and fantastic price. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great choice of meals and reasonable price. I had a steak with garlic prawns cooked to perfection. The view from the hotel is breathtaking.
Loads of historical detail to view inside and out.
The Bay vista is always inviting and very enjoyable.
Like all of the Eyre Peninsula it's a privilege to experience the tranquility.
Review on accomodation-
We stayed 3 nights in a waterfront room. Great view, beautifully renovated rooms with unique little touches throughout. The choice of bedding were very superior. little pricey for a pub however I cannot complain as it was a very comfortable stay. Highly reccomend.
Stayed one night at the motel upstairs. It looked like it was going to be of an older or outdated hotel, but once in the room it looks like they have recently renovated. It was super cute and Cozy. Bathroom was beautiful even all the soap etc was nice. They really did think of everything for this room. Bedding and towels were even of good quality, loved it. Perfect lay over for us. Meals downstairs are another story though. So I’ll just rate our stay.
Delicious food, good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Husband and I came here for their $20 steak night, not expecting too much but we were very surprised at the size and quality of our steaks! Definitely 10/10.
Not pet friendly. Traveled all over the country and never seen this in an outdoor eating area. Most pubs and cafes have welcomed dogs.
